Maria Teresa Brambilla

I was born in the Alps. Where I still live today. Nature has always been my absolute muse. Photography is the language I prefer to tell. Because she is sincere, transparent, cheeky. With the camera it’s as if my eyes can dig situations with twice the depth.

I feel compelled to tell what a voice needs. Of a story by images where to unfold. There is so much life in the world. Very unknown. Silent. Sore. In the fight. On the way. It seems to me that photographs have the extraordinary power to return beauty and dignity to those who believe they do not own it. It is the women with their stories, struggles, situations, dreams and the inner conflicts of the human being that most inspire my work.

A work that wants to witness the most hidden, fragile and secret life of humanity. I photograph the struggles, the life, the pain, the love.
